ADVISING FOR ARTISTS
B. AVERY SYRIG FINE ART SERVICES, LLC is an all inclusive artists advisory service that helps artists achieve flourishing careers that follow their creative drives while allowing them to retain their artistic integrity. Strategic development and planning are used to help emerging and mid-career artists review, organize, and implement effective professional practices. Customized development plans include business planning and development, studio and creative insight, and marketing and sales expertise.
A STRATEGIC BUSINESS REVIEW is conducted for every new client. This review includes all aspects of the artist’s professional studio and business practice. This will include an interview with the artist along with a review of the artist’s website and online media (websites and social media). A follow up email with additional questions may follow. This review is used to target areas for development in my client’s business and creative practice. Work may be completed on a project to project basis but a comprehensive approach tends to be the most beneficial.
A CUSTOMIZED DEVELOPMENT PLAN is generated from the business review. This development plan will lay out steps that need to be taken to accomplish the artist’s goals. Recommendations will be given for any additional areas that the artist may need to work on to further their success. This plan will be implemented through a weekly task/check in meeting to go over the next step.
PAYMENT STRUCTURE is individualized by client. Generally advising services are needed long term to develop business and studio practices that result in long term recurring sales. Working long term also allows for a scaled payment structure that compensates based on sales. As advising services start, payment is low; as the artist's sales go up, so does the compensation.

Generally artists are in need of more than what they think they need. They come to me wanting help with sales but to do this we figure out that they need better outreach and an updated website."
EXPERTISE used to help every client comes from Avery's past experiences working with marketing agencies, individual artists, galleries, and developing her own businesses as an artist, jeweler, and fine art installer. Working in marketing agencies immersed her in press release writing and presentation to curated press lists. Along with her BFA in Fine Art, her work with individual artists has developed her art critique, studio practice, and website building expertise. She has developed an understanding of the art world through working in both artist-run and contemporary galleries in management, curation, sales, art handling, and logistics positions. Her individual explorations into the fine art and fine jewelry sectors as an artist and art installer developed her expertise in branding, business development, business organization, and studio practices.
